• How we use it: Solely to process your rephrasing request through AI services. Selected text is only read when you trigger the rephrase action.
• Storage: We do not store your text content on our servers. Processing is ephemeral and results are returned immediately.

Optional API Keys

• What we collect: API keys you voluntarily provide (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
• How we use it: Only to make API calls to your chosen service when you use custom API functionality
• Storage: Stored locally on your device in Chrome extension storage

Technical Data

• Extension version and basic usage analytics (no personal content)
• Error logs and performance metrics for service improvement

2. Information We DO NOT Collect

• No website content: We do not read or analyze website content unless you explicitly select text to rephrase
• No browsing history: We do not track your browsing activity
• No personal information: We do not collect names, emails, or other personal identifiers
• No account data: No authentication or account creation required

3. How Your Data is Processed

Default API Service

When using our default rephrasing service:

• Your text is sent securely to our AI proxy server
• The proxy forwards your request to a third-party AI service
• Your text is processed and the rephrased result is returned
• No content is stored on our servers after processing

Custom API Keys

When you provide your own API keys:

• Your text is sent directly to your chosen AI service
• API keys are stored locally on your device only
• We do not have access to your custom API keys or the responses

4. Data Security

• All API communications use HTTPS encryption
• API keys are stored in Chrome's secure extension storage
• We implement industry-standard security practices
• No sensitive data is logged or retained

5. Third-Party Services

When you use custom API keys, your data is processed by the respective AI service providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) according to their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies for more information.

6. Data Retention

• Text content: Not retained after processing
• API keys: Stored locally on your device until you remove them
• Technical data: Retained for service improvement and debugging

7. Your Rights and Choices

• Access: You can view and manage your API keys in extension settings
• Deletion: Remove API keys at any time through extension settings
• Opt-out: Disable the extension or use custom API keys for more control
• Export: You can export your settings and API keys from the extension

8. Children's Privacy

Our extension is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
